Rheinmetall (XE:RHM), Saab (SE:SAAB.B): European defense stocks dropped ahead of a meeting later this week between President Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin to discuss proposals for a Ukraine cease-fire.
CATL (HK:3750): The world's largest electric-vehicle battery maker suspended a major lithium mining project. The stock gained 2.3% in Hong Kong. Shares in Chinese lithium producers and South Korean battery makers also rose.
Longfor (HK:960): Chinese property stocks advanced after Beijing eased restrictions on home purchases in suburban areas. Longfor shares gained 2% in Hong Kong.
Novartis (CH:NOVN, NVS): The drugmaker's candidate treatment for the autoimmune disorder Sjögren's disease met a key goal in late trials. Shares rose nearly 3% in Switzerland.
Ørsted (DK:ORSTED): The Danish renewable-energy company halted plans to sell a stake in a U.S. offshore wind project and proposed a $9.4 billion rights issue. Shares slid by around one-quarter.
