Laser Photonics Corporation, a leading global provider of industrial laser systems, has announced its intention to acquire the assets of Beamer Laser Marking Systems, previously part of ARCH Cutting Tools. This strategic acquisition aims to enhance Laser Photonics' diversification in laser systems and expand its customer base. Beamer is known for its industrial fiber and CO2 laser marking equipment, used extensively for etching serial numbers, 2D barcodes, and other permanent markings on various materials. The acquisition is expected to bolster Laser Photonics' product offerings in the rapidly growing laser marking market, driven by increased demand in industries such as aerospace, automotive, and medical. John Armstrong, Executive Vice President of Laser Photonics, highlighted the acquisition's benefits, including gaining a U.S.-sourced and manufactured product line, which offers better control over quality and lead times. Beamer's existing distribution network across North America will also enhance Laser Photonics' sales capabilities. The transaction is set to become effective after NASDAQ's 15-day review period.
