Ouster, Inc., a leader in high-performance lidar sensors and intelligent software solutions, has announced a significant contract expansion with Econolite, awarded by the Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT). This contract aims to extend the deployment of the Ouster BlueCity traffic management solution to over 100 intersections across Utah. Building on the success of an initial deployment at over a dozen intersections earlier this year, the expansion will enhance roadway safety and reduce congestion by integrating with UDOT's existing traffic signal systems. The solution employs Ouster's 3D digital lidar and perception software for real-time traffic signal actuation, improving safety and efficiency while maintaining community privacy. This initiative will initially be rolled out in cities including Cedar City, Ogden, Orem, and Salt Lake City.
