Playmates Toys (HKG:0869) swung to an attributable loss of HK$25.6 million in the first half from an attributable profit of HK$91.5 million in the year-ago period, according to a Friday filing with the Hong Kong bourse.
The toy distributor swung to a loss per share of HK$0.0217 from earnings per share of HK$0.0775 in the prior-year period.
Revenue plunged 58% to HK$185.5 million from HK$445.1 million in the year-ago period.
The company declared an interim dividend of HK$0.01 per share, payable Sept. 19 to shareholders on record as of Sept. 2.
