Cellebrite named Thomas Hogan, its interim chief executive since January, as its new permanent CEO.

Hogan was executive chairman of Cellebrite's board from 2023 until he was appointed interim CEO earlier this year. He previously worked as a managing director at Vista Equity Partners, CEO of software company Kony and as an executive for HP and IBM, according to his LinkedIn profile.

On Thursday, the Israel-based software company, which focuses on law enforcement and public safety, also reported second-quarter revenue of $113.3 million, an 18% increase from the previous year.

Cellebrite swung to a profit of $19.5 million, or 8 cents a share, from a loss of $23.8 million, or 12 cents a share, the year prior.

The company said it is in the process of getting its public-safety software authorized for use across the U.S. federal government.
