Diwang Industrial (HKG:1950) agreed to form a joint venture with Shanghai Jiuyue Youpin Commercial Management focused on sales of alcoholic beverages and other food products, according to a Hong Kong bourse filing Thursday.

Shares of the baiju seller jumped over 2% in afternoon trade Friday.

Both sides plan to supply the Chinese market with premium alcohol beverages, the company said.
