The shares of Beach Energy (ASX:BPT) fell nearly 1%, while those of Karoon Energy (ASX:KAR) edged down, as oil prices rose after a meeting between US President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky lowered expectations for a ceasefire.
The West Texas Intermediate crude rose around 1% to settle above $63 per barrel.
