Agora Inc. has announced its financial results for the second quarter of 2025, reporting total revenues of $34.3 million, a slight increase of 0.1% compared to $34.2 million in the same period last year. Revenues from Agora alone reached $18.2 million, reflecting a significant 16.7% increase from the $15.6 million reported in the second quarter of 2024. This growth is attributed to business expansion and increased usage in sectors such as live shopping. In contrast, revenues for Shengwang were reported at RMB115.5 million ($16.1 million), marking a 12.4% decrease from RMB131.9 million ($18.6 million) in the previous year. This decline is primarily due to a reduction in revenues from certain end-of-sale products, which generated no revenue this quarter compared to RMB23.7 million ($3.3 million) in the second quarter of 2024. Agora reported a dollar-based net retention rate of 97% for the trailing 12-month period ending June 30, 2025. Additionally, the company noted an increase in active customers, with Agora's customer base growing by 12.4% to 1,880, and Shengwang's customer base increasing by 1.4% to 1,997 as of June 30, 2025. Net cash used in operating activities for the quarter was $0.4 million, a significant improvement from the $7.6 million used in the second quarter of 2024. The company also highlighted the successful launch and adoption of its Conversational AI Engine, which has been integrated into various applications, including call centers and AI-powered companion toys.
