Soligenix (SNGX) said Monday that the US Food and Drug Administration has granted orphan drug designation to dusquetide for the treatment of Behcet's disease, an inflammatory disorder of the blood vessels.

Shares surged 85% as intraday trading volume catapulted to more than 146.2 million from a daily average of about 8 million.

Propanc Biopharma (PPCB) shares soared 131% in heavy trading after midday on Monday following their debut on Nasdaq on Friday.

More than 63.3 million shares traded intraday.

Aspire Biopharma (ASBP) said Monday its investigational sublingual aspirin product demonstrated "higher and more rapid" mean plasma concentrations of acetylsalicylic acid, compared with standard chewed aspirin tablets.

Shares jumped 52%, with intraday trading volume at over 430.7 million from a daily average of about 15 million.
