China Southern Airlines (HKG:1055, SHA:600029) passenger capacity jumped 6.7% year over year to 36.5 billion available seat kilometers in July, according to a Saturday filing with the Shanghai bourse.

Shares fell 2% in Hong Kong during morning trading on Monday.

Passengers carried jumped 6.3% year over year to 16.1 million, while passenger traffic rose 7.3% to 30.8 billion revenue passenger kilometers in the month.

Cargo capacity during the month jumped 4.5% year on year to 4.89 billion available ton kilometers.

Cargo and mail carried rose 7.9% to 159,430 tonnes, while cargo and mail traffic grew 3.6% to 817.8 million revenue ton kilometers.
