0637 GMT - Singapore's banking sector may report lower interest income for 2025 amid margin compression and higher credit costs, RHB Research's Singapore team says in a note. RHB projects a 3% decline in net interest income for the sector this year. Banks face a weaker 2H compared with 1H due to a combination of seasonality and global trade uncertainty stemming from the U.S. tariff situation. RHB's top sector pick is DBS, given its attractive dividend yields. It has a buy rating and S$52.80 target on DBS, which gains 0.4% to S$50.04. RHB maintains a neutral call on the city-state's banking sector. (megan.cheah@wsj.com)
