Western Securities (SHE:002673) received regulatory approval to become a major shareholder of Guorong Securities, according to a Shenzhen bourse filing on Saturday.
The Chinese securities services provider's shares jumped almost 7% during Monday's morning trade.
Western Securities acquired 1,151,433,439 shares, or 64.6% of Guorong Securities.
