JF SmartInvest (HKG:9636) said its tech unit, Jiufang Zhiqing, has joined Shanghai's first large model innovation ecosystem, according to an Aug. 15 Hong Kong bourse filing.

Shares of the company gained nearly 15% in Monday's late-afternoon trade.

The move supports the company's "Financial Intelligent Agent 2.0" project, using AI to provide smarter investment tools for individual and institutional clients.

Additionally, it has also partnered with Tencent Cloud, a unit of Tencent Holdings (HKG:0700), to develop next-generation AI tools and strengthen its digital infrastructure, aiming to boost efficiency and growth.
