WIA Gold (ASX:WIA) secured firm commitments to raise AU$30 million through the issue of 100 million shares at AU$0.30 apiece, according to a Wednesday filing with the Australian bourse.

The proceeds will be used for resource development, exploration, project studies, test work, permitting, social and environmental activities at the Kokoseb project in Namibia, the filing said.
