Prosper Construction (HKG:6816) expects a pre-tax loss of at least HK$49 million in the first half of 2025, narrowing from HK$62 million a year prior, an Aug. 15 Hong Kong bourse filing said.

Shares of the construction engineering company were up 17% in Monday afternoon trading.

The narrower loss came about amid improved results from its general construction segment with an anticipated rise in gross profit.
