1027 ET - Cenovus CEO Jon McKenzie says that MEG Energy's infrastructure would allows for it to develop resources it was decades away from consideration. Part of the merger appeal, McKenzie says in a call to investors, is that it connects the two companies' operations around Christina Lake in Alberta. CEO Jon McKenzie says that thanks to MEG's infrastructure and pipeline in the area, merging the two companies would open up untapped resources in Cenovus' portfolio that it didn't have the means to reach.
