Kingsland Minerals (ASX:KNG) said test work produced 99.97% purified, spherical graphite using low temperature alkaline bake methods with additional dilute acid wash on concentrate from its Leliyn graphite project in the Northern Territory, according to a Thursday Australian bourse filing.
The next step is to optimize the processing flow-sheet to produce a concentrate of consistent grade and particle size to suit the micronizing and spheronizing process, the firm added.
Its off-take partner, Quinbrook Infrastructure Partners, will be provided with samples to assess the parameters of its proposed downstream processing facility at Darwin.
