SK Hynix Strats Mass Production of 321-Layer QLC NAND Flash Product; Shares Up 3%

SK Hynix (KRX:000660) began the mass production of its 321-layer 2Tb QLC NAND flash product, the chipmaker said in a Monday statement.

The new product offers double capacity, faster speeds, and 23% better power efficiency, supporting AI data centers. It will debut in PC solid-state drives (SSDs) before expanding to enterprise SSDs and smartphone universal flash storage.

Shares of SK Hynix rose more than 3% at market close.
