Meridian Energy (ASX:MEZ, NZE:MEL) reported Wednesday that it swung to a loss of NZ$0.174 in fiscal 2025 from a profit of NZ$0.166 a year earlier.
Analysts polled by FactSet expected earnings of NZ$0.06.
Revenue for the 12 months ended June 30 was NZ$4.84 billion, compared with NZ$4.86 billion a year earlier. Analysts surveyed by FactSet expected NZ$4.59 billion.
The board declared a final dividend of NZ$0.1485 per share, unchanged from a year earlier, payable Sept. 23 to shareholders on record as of Sept. 5.
