Ohio Edison, The Illuminating Company, and Toledo Edison, subsidiaries of FirstEnergy Corp., are actively supporting customers in Ohio by promoting the Home Energy Assistance (HEAP) Summer Crisis Program. This initiative is designed to alleviate financial stress during the hot summer months by offering eligible residential customers up to $500 in one-time assistance for paying electric bills. The program is available until September 30. In addition to HEAP, other support programs are in place, including Project REACH for Ohio Edison customers, the Community Outreach Opportunity Program (CO-OP) and Ohio Fuel Fund for The Illuminating Company customers, and Neighbors Helping Neighbors for Toledo Edison customers.
