China Electronics Huada Technology Co. Ltd., a company engaged in the design of smart cards and secure element chips, reported its unaudited condensed consolidated results for the six months ended June 30, 2025. The Group generated revenue of HK$1.112 billion from the sale of integrated circuit products and provision of services, compared to HK$1.361 billion during the same period in 2024. This represents a decrease in sales as global demand for smart cards and secure element chips remained weak, amid intense market competition leading to a decline in selling prices. The profit attributable to the owners of the Company was HK$138.6 million, a significant decrease of 55.2% from HK$309.5 million in the corresponding period of the previous year. Consequently, the basic earnings per share dropped to HK6.83 cents from HK15.25 cents in the same period last year. In terms of business developments, the Group obtained 8 new patents, registered 4 new software copyrights, and 1 new integrated circuits layout design in the first half of 2025. Despite the challenges faced, the Group continues to focus on its integrated circuits design business, which is primarily engaged in sectors such as identity authentication, financial payment, government utilities, telecommunications, Internet of Things, and Internet of Vehicles.
