Energy Recovery Inc. has announced the awarding of $31 million in contracts to supply its PX® Pressure Exchanger® energy recovery devices for significant seawater reverse osmosis desalination projects in the Gulf region, including Qatar and the United Arab Emirates. The new desalination plants are expected to deliver over 1.6 million cubic meters of fresh water daily, significantly contributing to the water supply in this hyper-arid area with a rapidly growing population. Additionally, these projects will save an estimated 1,724 GWh of energy annually, equivalent to preventing 832,849 tons of CO₂ emissions. Energy Recovery, a global leader in energy efficiency technology, will fulfill these contracts by the end of the fourth quarter of 2025. This development highlights the company's continued leadership in desalination innovation and its commitment to enhancing operational efficiency and environmental sustainability worldwide.
