Beacon Minerals (ASX:BCN) sold 35.8 million shares held in Astral Resources (ASX:AAR) for AU$0.165 per share or AU$5.9 million in total to focus on its Jaurdi Mill operation, according to a Monday Australian bourse filing.
The company originally acquired 84.3 million shares in Maximus Resources (ASX:MXR) at an average cost of AU$0.04 per share or AU$3.3 million in total, but Maximus was acquired by Astral in February, and the company received 41 million shares of Astral.
Beacon now holds 5.2 million shares in Astral.
Astral Resources' shares rose 9% in recent Monday trade.
