Campbell's Foresees 'Surgical' Price Increases Due to Tariffs -- Market Talk

Dow Jones

9:49 ET - Campbell's said it will raise prices where necessary in response to tariffs hitting its business. The soup-and-snack giant said Wednesday that it expects gross tariffs in fiscal 2026 to total 4% of its cost of products sold. Campbell plans to mitigate about 60% of that impact, by working with suppliers, seeking alternative sources, boosting productivity and cost savings, and where necessary, "surgical and responsible" price increases. Campbell Chief Executive Mick Beekhuizen said the company is "being really surgical about where do we believe we have some opportunity to increase pricing and where not." (jesse.newman@wsj.com)
