Volaris (VLRS) said Wednesday that its passenger demand, measured as revenue passenger miles, was up 1.9% in August to 2.65 billion from 2.60 billion a year earlier.
Capacity for the month, measured as available seat miles, rose 4.7% to 3.13 billion from 2.99 billion a year earlier, the Mexican airline said.
The load factor declined to 84.7% from 87% a year earlier, according to the low-cost carrier.
Volaris said it transported 2.7 million passengers in August, up from 2.6 million the same month last year.
