Intermestic (TYO:262A) said it will acquire all shares in Horus HD Co and Horus Co for about 19.1 billion yen, making Visionary Holdings a wholly owned subsidiary, according to a Tuesday filing on the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
The deal will combine Intermestic's 317 Zoff eyewear stores with Horus' 300 Megane Super outlets, creating a network of more than 600 stores.
Intermestic said the acquisition will be financed with 18 billion yen in new loans from Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corp and cash on hand, with completion set for Oct. 1 pending regulatory approval.
