Entergy Corporation has announced the completion of the $110 million Bolivar Peninsula Reliability Project, aimed at doubling the region's power supply and enhancing the Southeast Texas power grid. This project, part of Entergy Texas' broader plan to modernize the grid across one of the state's fastest-growing regions, promises more reliable service, reduced outages, and better protection against severe weather. Key components include the construction of two new substations, upgrades to three existing ones, and the installation of approximately 25 miles of new distribution lines. Utilizing modern self-healing network technology and hurricane-resistant composite poles, the project has already demonstrated its resilience during Hurricane Beryl in 2024, ensuring quicker power restoration for the community.
