China New Economy Fund (HKG:0080) named Cai Wensheng as its chairman and a non-executive director effective Friday, a same-day Hong Kong bourse filing said.

Cai succeeded Chen Shengjie, who resigned from the post.

Cai is the sole shareholder and director of Longling Capital, the controlling shareholder of the investment company.
