i-80 Gold Corp. has announced the commencement of construction at its Archimedes project in Nevada, following the receipt of necessary environmental permits. The project, located on the Ruby Hill property, marks the company's second planned underground mine and is expected to contribute to production by the fourth quarter of 2026. The company aims to significantly increase its annual gold output to a range of 150,000 to 200,000 ounces by 2028 as part of its growth strategy. Current efforts focus on resource drilling, permitting, and metallurgical testing, with a feasibility study anticipated by the first quarter of 2027. The exploration potential at Archimedes is promising, with the lower zone remaining open to the north and south, potentially extending the mine's 10-year life.
