GCL Global Holdings Ltd, a leading provider of games and entertainment, has announced a collaboration with Heling Tongxing (Xi'an) Private Fund Management Co., Ltd., also known as Harmony Capital, to establish the GCL Game and Cultural Industry Fund. This non-binding agreement outlines their shared intention to create a fund with a budget of up to RMB150 million, focusing on strategic investments in China's game development and publishing sectors. The initiative aims to drive growth through direct equity investments in projects promoting creative and cultural content. Over 70% of the fund's capital will be dedicated to game development and publishing, with additional resources allocated to film and television adaptations of game IPs and other cultural ventures. The fund is set to operate over a seven-year term, marking a strategic step in enhancing long-term value in the Chinese games and entertainment industries.
