Dateline Resources (ASX:DTR) has started drilling at its Colosseum Gold rare earth elements (REE) project in California, which is expected to exceed 10,000 metres of combined reverse circulation and diamond drilling, according to a Wednesday Australian bourse filing.
Recently identified magneto-telluric-generated gold and rare earth element targets are being refined and will be incorporated into the drilling plan, including multiple high-priority gold targets and deep REE targets identified by geophysical surveys, the filing added.
The company said a dedicated geotechnical drilling program is underway in parallel, gathering data to inform mine planning and support engineering studies for the project's bankable feasibility study.
