NBCC (India) (NSE:NBCC, BOM:534309) has entered into a memorandum of understanding with Nagpur Metropolitan Region Development Authority (NMRDA) for the development of Nagpur in Maharashtra, India under the "Development of Naveen Nagpur" program, according to a filing to the Indian stock exchanges.

Under the pact, NBCC has been appointed as the project management consultant for the proposed business district of Naveen Nagpur, which will be spread across 1000 acres, and 710 acres will be reserved for future expansion.

Naveen Nagpur will be developed to include underground utility tunnels, a district cooling system, automated waste collection, and a segregation plant, and will focus on building commercial establishments along with residential and mixed-use developments.
