Singapore shares fell on Tuesday, as investors await the release of fresh data on prices this week to assess the US Federal Reserve's next move.
The Straits Times Index ranged between 4,287.52 and 4,315.49 throughout the day. It ended the session at 4,297.57, down 10.95 points or 0.25% compared to Monday's close.
PropNex up 6%; HPH Trust, UOL, CMS, YZJ Fin Hldg, Centurion up around 2%; Hong Leong Asia down 4%; Frasers Property down 3%; ComfortDelGro down 2%.
In company news, shares of GS Holdings (SGX:43A) surged nearly 16% after its subsidiary, Octopus Distribution Networks, agreed to acquire LHA Food and Beverages' distribution business.
Mm2 Asia (SGX:1B0) finished 33% higher as it agreed with Hildrics Asia Growth Fund VCC to terminate an agreement to dispose of 97.6 million shares in Vividthree (SGX:OMK).
Meanwhile, shares of Raffles Education (SGX:NR7) were up nearly 2% as it secured retail investor Ng San Tiong as a subscriber to its third tranche issue of bonds.
