Ameresco, Inc. has announced a partnership with the U.S. Navy and CyrusOne to develop a 100 MW AI-optimized data center and critical energy infrastructure at Naval Air Station Lemoore. This state-of-the-art facility will include dedicated onsite energy generation infrastructure to meet the demands of advanced AI workloads. Additionally, NAS Lemoore will gain a new microgrid, enhancing energy resilience with engine generators, control systems, and infrastructure upgrades. The project is expected to be one of Ameresco's largest energy assets, with the first phase anticipated to be operational in 2027. This initiative is set to provide a model for future deployments across the Department of Defense, marking a new era of secure, AI-powered infrastructure for federal missions.
