Astute Metals (ASX:ASE) said the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) recorded the company's change of name to Venari Minerals, effective Sept. 12, according to a Tuesday filing with the Australian bourse.
The company also secured shareholder approval for the name change on the same date, the filing said.
The proposed ASX ticker "VMS" has been reserved and is expected to become the company's trading code around Oct. 14, according to the filing.
Shares fell 5% in morning trade Tuesday.
