Fusion Fuel Green PLC has executed a Heads of Terms with Alien Energy (Pty) Ltd to deliver a specialized fuel solution for a project in South Africa. This agreement will lead to the formation of a joint venture aimed at developing a biomass-powered steam energy project at a large-scale dairy processing facility owned by a global multinational food and beverage firm. The project will replace the current fossil-fuel-based steam generation system with a carbon-neutral biomass system, significantly reducing scope 1 and scope 2 emissions. Fusion Fuel will hold a 51% ownership stake in the joint venture and is expected to generate recurring annual revenues through a long-term steam supply agreement. The venture will also involve revenue sharing from verified carbon credit revenues and provide Fusion Fuel with rights of first refusal on future projects with Alien Energy. Fusion Fuel will invest approximately €480,000 in the project for construction and commissioning.
