0746 GMT - China's semiconductor industry is likely to report more positive developments before the country's weeklong National Day holiday starting from Oct. 1, Citi analysts say in a research note. That could serve as a positive catalyst for SMIC and Hua Hong Semiconductor. "With continuous positive news of local equipment and semiconductor supply, there is expectation that SMIC will be able to produce chips in 7nm/5nm using multi-patterning," Citi says.
