1811 ET - Cracker Barrel has felt the effects of rising tariffs in its retail business, where it imports many of its goods. The company said in a 4Q earnings call that it is working to reduce its assortment, has held multiple rounds of negotiations with vendors, and shifted its country of origin for some of the goods away from countries most affected by tariffs. If the item isn't profitable, the company won't sell it, Cracker Barrel said. (heather.haddon@wsj.com; @heatherhaddon)
