Highfield Resources (ASX:HFR) has requested an extension of the trading halt on its shares, effective Tuesday, to give it more time to complete a capital raise, according to a Tuesday filing with the Australian bourse.

The trading halt will continue until the outcome of the capital raising is disclosed on Oct.2, the filing said.
