Tomson Group Limited reported a consolidated profit after taxation attributable to shareholders of HK$782.2 million for the first six months of 2025, marking a significant increase of approximately 6.55 times compared to HK$103.7 million for the same period in 2024. The basic earnings per share for this period was 35.96 HK cents, up from 5.03 HK cents in 2024. The group's property development and trading segment was the primary profit contributor, generating a segment profit of HK$1,630.2 million, a turnaround from a loss of HK$28.2 million in 2024. This performance was mainly due to the recognition of sale proceeds from the first phase of Tomson Foresta, a residential development in Pudong, Shanghai. The company reported a gross profit of HK$1,842.3 million, compared to HK$106.5 million in 2024. Operating profit before taxation amounted to HK$1,696.8 million, up from HK$109.2 million in 2024. The Board did not recommend the payment of an interim dividend for the six months ended 30th June 2025, consistent with the decision for the same period in 2024. The group's principal base of operations remained in Mainland China, particularly Shanghai, during the period under review.
