Livium's (ASX:LIT) subsidiary, Envirostream Australia, extended its lithium-ion battery recycling contract with LG Energy Solution, securing a long-term agreement through March 2029 to support growing demand in Australia, according to a Wednesday Australian bourse filing.
The agreement guarantees volumes of end-of-life residential batteries for recycling and grants LG Energy the right to buy the recovered black mass at market prices, the filing said.
The deal supports Envirostream's growth strategy by enhancing its presence in the rapidly growing market for large-format lithium-ion batteries from electric vehicles and energy storage systems, the filing added.
