Aris Mining said 23 workers including 5 five of its employees are trapped following the collapse of a third-party mine in Colombia.

All of the workers are in good health and regular telephone communication has been maintained, the gold mining company said Tuesday. The collapse at the La Reliquia mine's main shaft access occurred on Monday, and it is expected that all of the workers will be brought to surface within the next day.

Food, water, and ventilation are being delivered while rescue work progresses through a joint effort between Aris's Brigade of Prevention and Emergency Control and La Reliquia's workforce, the company said.

The La Reliquia Mine is a third-party operation located within Aris Mining's Segovia title, but outside of the company's infrastructure, it said.
