Patriot Lithium (ASX:PAT) said recent exploration confirmed copper mineralization across a 40-meter strike length at its Kitumba 27715 project in Zambia, according to a Wednesday Australian bourse filing.
The company said that the best pit-grab sample returned 0.8% copper and averaged 0.3% copper over a 10-meter-wide quartzite unit, and the best trench intersection returned 0.2% copper over 7 meters, demonstrating mineralization, and remains open laterally and along strike.
The company added that a follow-up program will include a 600-meter trenching program spaced about 60 meters apart and a 30-hectare induced polarisation survey over the target.
The company's shares rose past 2% in recent Wednesday trade.
