Ark Mines (ASX:AHK) said a drill program at the Sandy Mitchell Rare Earth and Heavy Minerals project in North Queensland is ahead of schedule and showing mineralization consistent with previous drill programs, according to a Wednesday filing with the Australian bourse.
The company expects an around 260 million tonne increase in the existing mineral resource, the filing said.
The drilling is expected to be completed before the quarter ends, the filing added.
Shares of the company fell 7% in recent Wednesday trade.
