Shares of K&S (ASX:KSC) fell around 3% in recent Wednesday trade after it said in a late Tuesday Australian bourse filing that it had been unsuccessful in retaining its transport contracts with InfraBuild following a competitive tender process.
The decision, driven by commercial factors rather than service quality, brings to an end a long-standing partnership, including contracts with OneSteel and Smorgon Steel, the filing said.
The company expects the transition to occur before the end of fiscal 2026, but has not yet been given formal notice on the exact timing or potential financial impact, the filing added.
