BPH Energy (ASX:BPH) said that an Australian judge decided that the hearing should be conducted by him in New South Wales and adjourned a proceeding after hearing from the firm and other parties, according to a Tuesday Australian bourse filing.

The PEP 11 joint venture, including BPH and Bounty Oil & Gas, was given notice by the National Offshore Petroleum Titles Administrator in January that the joint authority had refused the joint venture applications in 2020 and 2021.

BPH advised that investee Advent Energy's unit, Asset Energy, had applied to the Federal Court for an originating application for judicial review regarding a decision of the Commonwealth-New South Wales Offshore Petroleum Joint Authority.

The firm's shares fell over 9% in recent trading on Tuesday.
