Lakes Blue Energy (ASX:LKO) said the Wombat-5, side-track-2 well in Victoria was cleaned out to 2,450 meters below the rotary table, with a 900 meter interval in the Strzelecki formation covering two sand intervals with high gas potential, according to a Friday Australian bourse filing.
The firm decided to complete this interval with slotted casing and to leave the lower 650 meters of the lateral as a barefoot completion, which incorporates the third of the intersected sand intervals.
Its shares fell over 2% in recent trading on Friday.
