Ingenia Communities Group (ASX:INA) said it received a notice to provide certain information and documents to Consumer Affairs Victoria regarding cooking facilities at seven Ingenia Gardens rental communities in Victoria, according to a Thursday Australian bourse filing.
The notice said that the material requested relates to potential breaches of the Residential Tenancies Act of 1997 and the Australian Consumer Law. The firm said it was cooperating with Consumer Affairs Victoria regarding the request.
After receiving the request, Ingenia conducted a review of its compliance obligations regarding the installation of cooktops in the communities, and it is taking action to ensure there is full compliance with regulations, per the filing.
