AECOM has announced a new partnership with Type One Energy to provide preliminary design engineering services for the Infinity Two stellarator fusion power plant. The 350MWe facility is intended to supply the Tennessee Valley Authority $(TVA)$ with clean and reliable energy. This collaboration follows TVA's issuance of a Letter of Intent for the possible construction of one or more Infinity Two plants at its Bull Run site near Knoxville, Tennessee. AECOM and Type One Energy have commenced work under the first TVA contract for the project. The final decision to proceed with construction will be subject to the completion of project development activities and the receipt of necessary approvals.
