United States Antimony Corporation $(USAC)$ has announced a major expansion of its antimony processing facility in Thompson Falls, Montana. The project, which recently held a groundbreaking ceremony attended by Montana Governor Greg Gianforte and other state officials, will increase the plant's processing capacity by over 400%. The expansion, already underway, is expected to be completed and in production by early 2026. USAC's project will enhance the domestic supply of antimony, a critical mineral used in defense, energy, and technology sectors. The company's Thompson Falls site also includes the Stibnite Hill Antimony Mine, which USAC is actively developing. This initiative underscores USAC's role as the operator of the only two antimony smelters in North America and highlights the importance of strengthening the U.S. critical minerals supply chain.
